By making a booking, confirming an appointment, or allowing our operatives to begin work, the customer agrees to be bound by these terms. They are designed to make the carpet cleaning service clear, fair, and transparent for both parties. For the avoidance of doubt, any reference to we, us, or our means Lampton Carpet Cleaners, and any reference to you or the customer means the person or business requesting the carpet cleaning service.

These terms apply to all carpet cleaning appointments, including stain treatment, stain removal attempts, upholstery add-ons where agreed, deodorising, rug cleaning, and related maintenance tasks carried out as part of a booked service. They should be read carefully before confirming any order. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you should not proceed with the booking. Any special arrangements or additional work requested on the day may be accepted at our discretion and may be subject to a revised price.

We may ask for information about the size of the property, the number of rooms or items to be cleaned, the material type, visible staining, access conditions, and any special requirements. Quotations are normally based on the information supplied at the time of booking and are therefore estimates unless stated otherwise. If the details provided are incomplete or inaccurate, we reserve the right to amend the price, reschedule the appointment, or decline the work if we are unable to complete it safely or effectively.

Once a price has been agreed, your booking is only confirmed when we have accepted it and, where requested, received any deposit or advance payment. Confirmation may be given verbally, in writing, or by electronic message. It is your responsibility to check that the date, time, location, and service specification are correct. If you wish to change the scope of the work, such as adding extra rooms or requesting specialist carpet cleaners support for delicate fibres, you should tell us before the appointment so that we can confirm availability and adjust the quotation if needed.

We will aim to attend at the arranged time, but all appointments are subject to operational demands, traffic conditions, parking access, weather, and other matters beyond our reasonable control. We may arrive within a reasonable time window rather than at an exact minute. If we anticipate a material delay, we will use reasonable efforts to notify you. If access is unavailable when our team arrives, or if the property is not ready for cleaning, this may be treated as a late cancellation or wasted visit, and charges may apply.

Any quotation or estimate provided by Lampton Carpet Cleaners is valid for the period stated at the time of issue, or, if no period is stated, for a reasonable period only. Estimates are based on ordinary domestic or commercial conditions and on the assumption that the area can be cleaned using standard professional methods. Extremely heavy soiling, hidden damage, persistent odours, pet contamination, mould, flood residue, or previous failed cleaning attempts may require additional time or specialist treatment. In such cases, we may revise the price before commencing work or stop work if continuing would be unsafe, ineffective, or likely to cause damage.

Unless otherwise stated, payment is due on completion of the work on the same day. We may accept payment by cash, bank transfer, debit card, credit card, or other methods that we notify you of from time to time. For business customers or larger projects, we may require a deposit, staged payment, or payment in full before the appointment. Any invoice issued must be settled by the due date shown on it.

If payment is not made when due, we reserve the right to charge reasonable late-payment interest and administrative costs to the extent permitted by law. We may also suspend future services until outstanding sums are settled. You are responsible for ensuring that the payment method you provide is valid and that sufficient funds are available. Any bank charges, failed payment costs, or currency conversion costs imposed by a payment provider remain your responsibility unless we have expressly agreed otherwise in writing.

All prices, unless clearly stated otherwise, are exclusive of any additional services not expressly included in the booked carpet cleaning package. This may include moving heavy furniture, treating irreversible staining, cleaning areas requiring special access equipment, deep deodorising, or attending for a second visit. If further work becomes necessary during the appointment, we will seek your approval before carrying it out where reasonably possible. Written confirmation of extra charges may be provided after the visit if the additional work was agreed on site.

Cancellations and rescheduling requests should be made as early as possible. If you cancel with sufficient notice, no charge may apply, unless a deposit was taken and stated to be non-refundable. If you cancel at short notice, typically less than 24 hours before the appointment, or fail to provide access at the agreed time, we may charge a reasonable cancellation fee to cover lost time, travel, and staff allocation. The exact fee may vary depending on the size and nature of the booking.

If we need to cancel or rearrange an appointment due to illness, equipment failure, severe weather, staff shortage, unsafe conditions, or any other reason beyond our control, we will aim to offer an alternative date. We will not be liable for indirect losses caused by a cancellation or delay, but where a deposit was taken for a service we cannot provide, we will normally offer a refund or rebook the service at no extra charge, depending on the circumstances. This does not affect any statutory rights that may apply.

Customers are expected to prepare the area for cleaning unless otherwise agreed. This includes removing fragile items, valuables, personal documents, and anything likely to be damaged by movement, moisture, or cleaning agents. We may move light furniture where safe and reasonable to do so, but we are not obliged to move heavy, fixed, or potentially hazardous items. If the area cannot be cleared sufficiently for a safe and effective Lampton Carpet Cleaners service, we may refuse or limit the work and still charge a call-out or wasted-time fee where appropriate.

Certain stains, odours, and contamination may be resistant to treatment and may not be fully removable. We do not guarantee complete stain elimination or restoration to new condition unless this has been expressly agreed in writing.

Before cleaning begins, you should tell us about any known issues such as colour instability, loose seams, damaged backing, water-sensitive materials, underfloor heating, previous repairs, or special manufacturer instructions. Where carpets or fabrics are particularly delicate, we may ask you to sign a disclaimer or accept a modified cleaning approach. If you instruct us to proceed against our advice, you do so at your own risk. We will take reasonable care, but we cannot accept liability for damage arising from information withheld or inaccurate instructions supplied by the customer.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim relating to a booked service shall be limited to the amount paid, or payable, for the specific service in question. We do not exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded under UK law. Nothing in these terms affects your rights as a consumer under applicable legislation, including rights relating to services performed with reasonable care and skill.

Waste regulations are taken seriously by Lampton Carpet Cleaners. Where we remove waste as part of a service, it will be handled in line with applicable UK environmental and waste management requirements. This includes disposing of extracted debris, contaminated materials, and other waste created during the cleaning process in a lawful and responsible manner. We may separate waste types where required and use approved disposal routes where available. You must not ask us to dispose of hazardous, prohibited, or unidentified materials unless this has been agreed in advance and we are satisfied that lawful disposal is possible.

We are not a general waste collection service. If the work reveals hazardous substances, bodily fluids, asbestos-related material, sharps, chemicals, or other regulated waste, we may stop the service and advise that a specialist contractor is required. Any such material remains your responsibility unless we have expressly agreed to manage it under a separate written arrangement. If we incur extra disposal costs because of contamination, unusual waste volumes, or special handling requirements, those costs may be passed on to you where permitted by law and where you have been informed in advance.

You must ensure that the property is provided in a condition that allows our team to carry out the service safely and lawfully. We may refuse to proceed if the premises present a health, safety, or environmental risk. If waste handling requirements change during the appointment, we may adjust the quoted price or suspend work until the issue is resolved. This is intended to ensure compliance and protect both our staff and the customer from avoidable risk. Responsible disposal forms part of our professional standards and service expectations.

We will make reasonable efforts to resume the service once the event has passed or to offer an alternative arrangement where feasible.

Any complaint about the service should be raised as soon as reasonably possible after completion so that we can review the matter promptly. We may ask for photographs, descriptions, or access to inspect the area before deciding how to respond. If a service issue is confirmed and we are responsible, we may offer a re-clean, partial refund, or other reasonable remedy at our discretion. This is intended to resolve matters fairly and efficiently without limiting rights that cannot be excluded by law. Customers should preserve the area in its post-service condition where possible to assist with any investigation.

These terms may be updated from time to time to reflect changes in our business, operational procedures, or applicable law. The version in force at the time of your booking will normally apply to that booking unless we state otherwise. If any part of these terms is found to be unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect. Failure by us to enforce any right under these terms shall not be treated as a waiver of that right.

The contract between you and Lampton Carpet Cleaners is governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising from or connected with these terms, the booking, or the provision of services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, except where consumer law provides otherwise. If you are acting as a consumer, you may also have rights to pursue alternative dispute resolution or statutory remedies where applicable.

These Terms and Conditions constitute the entire agreement between the parties in relation to the booked carpet cleaning service and supersede any prior discussion, representation, or understanding not expressly set out here. No person who is not a party to this agreement has any right to enforce any of its provisions under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999, unless we expressly agree otherwise in writing. By confirming a booking with Lampton Carpet Cleaners, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and accepted these terms.
